ITV have finally revealed all the gory details we need to know about this year’s X Factor contest. The show, featuring Louis Walsh and new judges Gary, Kelly and Tulisa, will be back on our screens on August 20th at 7:30pm. As well as the air date other juicy little titbits were announced in the channel’s press release. We already heard whispers that the show would be going a little more Big Brother, with fly on the wall footage of the contestants living together, and that the final would held in Wembley Arena – both of which have been confirmed. Also there will be more audition shows, a much more daunting bootcamp – which will see the hopefuls performing for audiences of thousands – as well as the return of Dermot O’ Leary as host, and Caroline Flack and Olly Murs hosting sister show Xtra Factor on ITV 2. New ‘X Factor’ judge Tulisa Contostavlos has insisted that she’s “fighting” for her N-Dubz bandmate to get a job on the show. The N-Dubz singer has claimed that her cousin would be perfect on the show, but he’s allegedly banned from helping her at the Judges’ Houses stage of the competition. But Tulisa reckons that Dappy would be “funny” and contestants would be fans. According to The Mirror, Tulisa said: “I want him as a mentor for one of the groups. He will be so funny, out of control. I really want him involved. “I don’t know if it will happen but it’s something I am fighting for. I think all the contestants will love him.” Tulisa also dismissed Kelly Rowland In the interview, she revealed how the boyband star was actually quite “harsh” when it comes to judging the hopefuls. “Gary is my biggest competition. Especially when it comes to speaking his mind. I thought I was bad, but Gary is the shocker. He is harsh. If they are s**t he will tell you,” she said. “He just amazes me with what he comes out with. Talay Riley has revealed that he worked with Tulisa Contostavlos on some new solo material, shortly before she was offered her new X Factor role. The 24 year old singer had been planning to work on her own music independently of band N-Dubz before being chosen to replace Cheryl Cole on the ITV show and speaking about the song they recorded together, Riley claims it had a real ‘Chris Brown’ feel to it. He told The Daily Star: “Tulisa and I recorded a song called When I Go Home before she got The X Factor job. “I really hope it can be a single but I’m not sure what will happen because of her TV commitments. “The song sounds like Chris Brown and Jordan Sparks’s No Air and has a Kings Of Leon-style guitar breakdown. “It’s something very different for Tulisa.” This year alone, Talay has already worked with Jessie J on her next single Who’s Laughing Now and is also collaborating with The Voice judge Christina Aguilera on her new album. Speaking about her hopes for the upcoming album, Riley explained: “Christina gave us a personal brief. It was like a letter saying what she wanted to achieve with her next album. “She wants this album to be the one which touches people and reflects all the personal experiences she’s been through in the last few years, like motherhood and divorce. “Basically she wants songs that are as big as Beautiful.”
Well said! Tulisa gets loads of greif and I don’t see how its fair because she’s worked hard to get to where she is….
